July was a challenge! But this is what these challenges are for. It was no technology month and by that I mean, no social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc), no TV, no Pinterest and as little time texting/emailing as possible. Not gonna lie, it was difficult. Facebook was the easiest to get rid of, as I haven’t been into it for a little while now. Instagram and Pinterest were a little harder – I love all the food posts, obviously.
It was boring at times, trying to figure out what to do with all the extra time. We played lots of games (Uno, Family Feud, Yahtzee etc) Yahtzee being my favourite. I read 8 books, cooked, swam in the pool and took naps, so it wasn’t all bad.
It was eye-opening at how much time we spend online, sad really. I am trying to be more self conscious of the amount of time I spend on it, now that we are “allowed” back on.
My challenge for you is to give it a go. It doesn’t have to be 31 days, it can be 3, 5, 7, 14, 21 etc you get to choose. Up to you, but try it out!
